Once you're booked in we will get in touch for a chat so we can get to know you and you preferences, and also to make sure you understand the process so it's as smooth as possible on the day. We ask that you book around the 20th week of pregnancy so we can schedule your session as accurately within that first 6 week window as we can. Of course, babies don't always arrive on time so we'll try and keep some flexibility around the booking just in case.
On the day, we'll need your help to keep your baby comfortable. Please make sure your space is warm so the baby won't wake up or be distressed for images where they're not all wrapped up. Also, make sure you have any props that you want featured ready - this could be toys, hats, special blankets, and so on.
When we get there, we'll have a chat and take a look at the space, then we'll set up while you feed and change your baby so they are sleepy and comfortable. Then we'll get photographing!
It's important not to stress or overwhelm your baby so we will try to be quick or a few images at a time, working with you and your baby's needs. As we go, we'll give you some looks at what we've take on the camera monitor to make sure we are getting what you want. If there is time at the end of the session, we may be able to give you a quick, unedited preview so you and we already have an idea what images you like/want.
Then we'll go away and select the best images, give them a quick touch up, and send you a link to a password protected page to view your previews and select which ones you'd like finished up and sent to you in your digital bundle.
What about prices?
For a session with one of our photographers and 10 edited digital photographs, it will cost upwards from £150. However, every client is unique so if you are interested, please get in touch via our contact form to let us know a little about you and what you are looking for so we can give you a more exact quote. Longer and more complicated sessions and bigger photo bundles will increase your quote.
A deposit of 25% of your agreed package will be required within one week of booking and the rest of the fee must be paid 1 month before the session, unless agreed by both parties otherwise. This will include consultations, the session itself, and a digital photograph bundle. If you want more images that your agreed upon bundle, this will cost a little extra.
For our newborn photography, we try and guarantee a minimum of 10 photographs, depending on how your baby is feeling on the day. We also understand that babies don't always want to stick to the plan, so if you need to reschedule, please get in touch!
